Job Summary:
This position is responsible for setting up and operating a multi-color automatic screen-printing press, operating the DMI, and addressing any printing issues by making print adjustments, as needed, to maintain print quality, registration, color, and production speed. The Press Operator will have a good understanding of inks, solvents, and can print line, halftone, and four-color copy on a variety of substrates.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Checking CD/PDF and Job Ticket to verify quantities, garment colors, overrun tolerance, color sequence, substrate
- Setting up and operating the press
- Setting dryers to properly dry and/or cure inks
- Printing the job while maintaining optimum production speed and making press adjustments, as needed, to maintain print quality, registration, and color
- Operates the DMI
- Logs the reason codes when the press stops
- Following the company policies, procedures, safety instructions, and applicable laws
- Maintaining a clean workstation and press area
Experience & Education:
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- 1-3 years of related experience and/or training
- Combination of education and experience
- Good judgement of color, design, and print quality

- Able to read and comprehend instructions, correspondences, and memos

- Able to perform basic mathematics (add, subtract, multiply, and divide) in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
